I wasn't quite sure what to expect from these jewelry cloths, but I've put together four of my dirtiest chains for a test case. I don't know what's in those dry rags, but it's amazing. It's like I have four new necklaces! It even worked to remove my "scrap" jewelry that wasn't real silver or gold. So much debris and dirt had been removed from my gold chains that I felt a little ashamed that I had neglected them for so long. All you have to do is wipe away the tarnished material with a dry cloth with any pressure and in any direction, and see. how black dirt comes off the fabric. When I was done, both the front and back of the fabric looked like I'd dipped it in a chimney. There will likely be some gray residue on the fingers, but this will dissolve in warm water. As a bonus, it's not just for jewelry either. I wiped the cutlery and it was shiny! Highly recommended.
