I bought this ironing board pad to support my existing (thin) ironing board cover. The problem with a bad cover is that you won't get a good print and sometimes the metallic shading on the clothing will show through. I sew and constantly have to iron the seams. It seemed to me that there was some confusion in the reviews I read. The instructions that came with the liner make no sense as there was no elastic or thread to adjust the width. I have attached photos of how I put the cover on the ironing board.1. I laid the ironing board on the carpet and drew a line around it. 2. I cut the lining along this line and then placed it on the ironing board.3. I used my existing (thin, cheap) ironing board cover over the rug and then fitted it to my ironing board. The whole process took less than ten minutes and I am very happy with the work! Makes it much easier to create clearer lines and iron clothes faster.
