I bought a bag. It filled my 2x3 gallon tanks perfectly. nothing left I only washed it 2 times in a bucket. After that I stopped because I didn't want fine sand particles to fly out = less sand. This is the first time I'm adding sand to my tanks, so don't get mad at me. I then placed it in my aquarium (half filled with water at the time, with a food bag on top) and then gently ran my hands to remove bubbles and help with dust. Then I filtered this water. Then I placed a plastic/grocery bag on the wet sand. (This helps a lot so the jet of water doesn't mess up the sand.) I then carefully poured the water (from a mug/coffee mug) over the top of the bag. ) and gently decorate in the sand.
