Great product. Works as stated. Also as said. Instructions were limited and useless. I have a heavy chest and built it up as the instructions say, using the picture for reference. My lid slowly started to close, but then slammed half shut. Now I will share with you what I found. If the lid is heavy you will need to move the round hinge closer to the back of the chest at reduced speed and move the link arm as high on the lid as possible (when the lid is open. This was the solution for me. Also with proper assembly one hinge did the trick i used both hinges i was looking at the dresser very elegantly and i wanted a uniformity dont let the photos fool you look at my photos and you will see where i had to re-drill and move my hinge to the Back of the chest and just below the height of the lid when it's closed so I can reach as far as I can to pry against the heavy lid.
