This is my first experience with a glue gun. I decided that I wanted to make my own hair bows for my Maltese. I bought this Low Temp Mini Gun Combo hoping it would be just what I need for gluing fabric to metal clips. It works very well for this project. I was surprised how easy it is to use. This is considered a low temperature, but the glue definitely gets hot enough to work well for my needs. The weapon rest doesn't work that well in my opinion and I find it easier to just lay it on its side. I also continue to use the quiet as a trigger when I'm working on a project. I may not have experience with a glue gun, but it tends to be a bit messy due to extra drips and strands of glue. However, I've found that if I place a Teflon pizza pan underneath while gluing it, it's easy to remove the excess. I am very happy with this purchase.
