I'm having a hard time writing this review. The quality of the barrels seems to be good, but the dimensions are just weird. I bought the XL for my 100lb 4'9"9 year old. The leg length is perfect but her torso is so long! They almost reached his nipples. When they are at his normal waist the crotch becomes baggy and keeps the swim shorts from protecting him from the sand. I got my 100lb 5'5" 13 year old to try them on and yet the torso is so long. I am disappointed that I have to send them back. I think they fit a 5'8" slim person.
