This is an attractive thermos that I use, but for some the pros may not outweigh the cons. This works for me, but in a very specific way. Pros: It looks attractive. The 14 ounce capacity makes it lighter and might perhaps be more appealing to people (like me) who don't drink a lot of water and don't want to carry as much when drunk. walks or picnics. Removable metal filter for easy cleaning. It keeps liquids hot or cold for a very reasonable amount of time. For really ice cold drinks you can put ice in the filter. A little confuses the convenience of the design of this thermos. In particular, the main cap cannot be screwed onto the container if the filter holding unit is not in place. There are two ways around this: 1. Remove the metal filter from the holder (but where to put it if you are somewhere outside)2. Only remove the contents of the filter (however this may leave some fruit residue if the filter is not rinsed). Neither method is conducive to using a thermos outside of the home or office. However, I love this thermos and have found ways to use it that work for me. Since loose tea is not recommended for this, simply throwing away the pieces of fruit or the tea bag I put in it will suffice. It also works really well with another product I've used, Twining's Cold Infuse, which infuses 16 ounces of cold water with many different flavors that come in small pouches (pictured). This thermos weighs only 14 ounces, but the brewers inside work well and the bags are easy and clean to dispose of. I've also used it to take cold wine to a picnic. I put a few ice cubes in the filter and it holds the perfect amount for two people without having to lug around a heavy bottle. The main cover can be screwed onto the container without an additional unit. Since I don't drink a liter of water, this is a lighter, more compact thermos to take with me on the go.
