Review on KidCo G1100 Auto Close Gateway: A 37-Inch Pressure Gate for Child and Pet Safety by Andrea Bone

When I bought Revain gates for children and dogs I read many reviews and reminded myself that two things got me thinking. One was a series of comments about inadequate shipping packaging that nearly destroyed some key parts like hinges, and the other was conflicting information about whether this product would successfully fit a 29" hole; One of the directions said the minimum is 29.5 inches. I am writing to say that the product has arrived in a sturdy box, obviously with adequate internal fixing as it has arrived in perfect condition. So if you have any doubts about the packaging, they have solved this problem. The other issue I can say is that they fit a 29.0" opening absolutely correctly, although I think anything ashamed of them won't work. There is enough space in the goal frame to turn. Adjustment knobs and install it, tighten it properly and check if the magnetic locking unit works properly. Which, by the way, he does pretty well. And if you plan on using this to hold the dog to the side, as is the case at my house, I can also guess that the latch assembly is designed so you have to do two things at once (raise and pull back on the spring arm), and although there are undoubtedly dogs that could handle it, they will be in a very small minority. Also, the self-closing function works reliably and smoothly, which is nice when your hands are busy, and the self-closing switch-off button also works smoothly. The product is strong, there are no rough edges, the plastic parts are better quality and it looks good, not cheap. A final note: the spacing between the vertical spindles is too narrow for a normal house cat to fit through. My cats are working on figuring out how to jump over it and they will probably figure it out in the next day or two. Conclusion: Good product, satisfied customer.
