These are fine work knee pads (I'm a night grocery stocker.) They are not heavy at all but they are not really light-weight either, which I don't care about.
The hard shells come off so you can use only the padded part and they are then lighter of course. I recommend these for the quality and the price can't be beat--even those "gardening" pads that wear out in less than six months cost more than these things.
