The Oral-B IO 9 has one major problem: it's too easy to tip over and fall to the ground, smashing a $300 device! Compare it to my old Oral-B Pro (see photos). The Pro stand has a spike that holds the stylus in place, while the IO only has a rather weak magnet. The second image shows what happens when the handle is tilted: the Pro base stays on the handle while the IO base is released. A small bump tips the IO while the Pro simply flattens out. To prevent disaster, I came up with an ugly solution: I put the base in a cup. Now the cup sticks to the handle before it falls down. But after spending $300, I don't have to anymore. I have no experience with IO as a toothbrush; I was just terribly annoyed by this horrible design flaw. The rating will remain at one star until I can report back on the work. UPDATE: I sent the toothbrush back. There are adequate alternatives that do not fail.
