Some good, some not so good.

One of the key things I've looked for in DisplayPort KVM switches is the ability to support higher refresh rates at higher resolutions. In particular, I wanted my 32" monitor to be able to run at 3440 x 1440 at 120Hz or higher. I didn't bother too much with my second monitor as long as I could get a higher refresh rate on my larger monitor. I'm happy. to report that it seems to work fine with a 32" monitor at 3440 x 1440 @ 120Hz and a 24" monitor at 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz (the maximum frequency of a 24" monitor). This KVM cleverly includes all the cables you need to connect two systems. with two monitors (assuming you already have DisplayPort cables to go from KVM to monitors). However, I was a little surprised by the A-to-mini USB connector and analog audio cables. It shouldn't matter, but I'm used to seeing AB cables. Regardless, the connections seemed to be working fine. There's also a wired one-button remote for switching between computers, which I find useful, especially given the length of cord they give you. On the other hand, there were some downsides. For starters, this KVM does not maintain a connection when switching between computers. If you're using Windows, this means that when you switch, the computer makes you think you've disconnected or reconnected the switched device. If you're unfamiliar with this, this means that when you switch and come back, any windows you have spread across both monitors will be grouped together in the upper-left corner of the main display. that there are times when the keyboard and mouse just stopped working 30 seconds ago. It's not enough to make it unusable, but if you're impatient or want to play, it's totally unacceptable. At first I thought it might be a connection or cable problem, but after replacing the cables with known good ones the problem persisted. And while I can't say with absolute certainty that this isn't a problem with the computer, the computers connected to a third-party KVM with no problems. My theory is that the included power supply (usually a regular USB wall plug) is not providing enough power for the KVM. That's pretty good for little-used computers anyway. But for your daily driver I would have a hard time recommending this.
