Quality pliers overall with little modification.
These pliers look and feel like a quality tool. The fit and finish is very nice and the mechanism is very smooth. The only thing I didn't like as mentioned in other reviews is that the edges and corners of the jaws that grip the nose pad are very sharp and if not very careful can cause minor scratches and dents on metal parts . I used a Dremel rotary tool to smooth these edges myself. Other than that, it's a great tool.
