I just finished installing this actuator on a 2013 Jetta. It works as expected and costs a lot less than a genuine VW part. Although there is nothing wrong with this item, I would like to warn everyone that its installation is very difficult. Dismantling the door is not so difficult. Getting the actuator out of the door is a major hassle because the VW has a black metal bracket that runs vertically in the doorway. There is a video on YouTube of someone doing the installation and he stated that he was able to remove the drive by unscrewing the bracket on the bottom and pushing back, suggesting that he had pulled the drive out by removing it he shook it. space before the parenthesis. That didn't work for me. In the end I managed to pull the drive out of the bracket, but it was very difficult. Disconnecting the cables while the drive is still in the door helps, but it's also difficult. And putting the new drive in the door is almost as difficult as pulling the old one out. If you're up for the challenge, this setup will save you tons of money compared to a dealer setup. I would give this part 5 stars but want to see how long it lasts in the car. Hopefully for years.
