Can easily top up 2-3psi and hit the 30-35psi target on our three different vehicles and also inflate spare tires from 20 to 60psi. Pump up lawn tractors, snow blowers, wheelbarrow tires, bike tires and basketballs. It's so much fun to use. Compared to my other portable compressors (Craftsman, Stanley supercharged power station, and another Coido tire inflator from Costco), this AstroAI unit is faster and quieter. Its sound is softer with a deep tone than others. Here are some pros and cons: Pros: - Faster and quieter - Auto power off at set level - Display backlight - LED backlight - Accurate (fills a bit higher, that's ok) - Sturdy and looks very premium. - Carry bag. Cons: - Screw connector and if not removed quickly enough air can escape. To compensate for the loss of air, inflate 1-1.5 psi above the set value. You can also minimize air leakage by pushing the cable into the connector with one hand and unscrewing it with the other hand. At the first hiss of air loss, release the cable and continue unscrewing it. In winter with gloves on, it can be difficult to remove quickly enough. Lever type connectors do not have this problem. - At pressures above 35-40psi it runs slower with the engine off and cannot fill at pressures above 50psi. With the engine running, it runs perfectly. This may be due to the higher DC voltage when the engine is running (14V) compared to the lower voltage (12V) when the engine is off. As such, you must keep the engine running if you want to fill the spare tire, which must be maintained at 60psi. It worked well with the DC outlet at Stanley's power plant, which measured 13V. - The first unit I received was defective and the preset shut off stopped working when the spare tire was inflated to 60psi. Also, it got pretty hot after using it for about 20 minutes! AstroAI quickly replaced the device and there were no issues with the new one. I was going to give 4 stars due to the above shortcomings but this has become my pick over all others and overall the best so it deserves 5 stars! I will update if it crashes. me anytime since I keep using it!
