I work as a field researcher in the sagebrush steppe ecosystem. I'm sick of chitgrass seeds and wormwood stalks getting into my shoes and socks. This pair of leggings did it. I've used them on long workdays with great success and they've held up for several months. As other reviewers have pointed out, they are quite large on the lower leg. If you're a small to medium sized person, expect them to bag a bit around the lower leg. I have yet to use them in wet or snowy conditions but they have not shown to perform below expectations. Highly recommended.
