I'm just buying my fifth pair of these shoes. I like you very much! I use them at work in the brewery. They're not "officially" non-slip, but they hold up great in greasy kitchens and wet bar floors. I wish they lasted a little longer than they did. To be fair, I average 10 miles a day on it. My fast pace on concrete makes those 10 miles super devastating and unfortunately limits the lifespan of these amazing easy kicks to 3-4 months before my bare heels hit the ground and my pinky toes fly off the top. I definitely understand planned obsolescence and the need to grow the business year after year. I don't like it, but I'd rather play along with cute boots.
