So we bake our own sourdough bread every week. I was hoping to have a bread bin that I could use to store bread without packaging. Unfortunately the bread was moldy after 5 days. I think the problem was that there wasn't enough air and the box was too humid. The loaves of bread inside were completely cold - we let them sit overnight before putting them in the box, so I know that wasn't the problem. Also, the lid warped somehow due to the lack of airflow, I suspect. I'll try opening the lid a bit more and see if that helps because I really don't want to mess around with bags and prefer a decorative box to hide the bread. It looks good and fits 4 of our 9x4.5 loaves, not that we've ever had that many at once. Anyway, I'll update after trying to crack the top a bit. The top is made of bamboo, not laminate like someone wrote.🤣
