Looks impressive once installed. You don't have to press the center pin to turn it on or off, a light touch is enough. To make the light brighter or dimmer, simply lightly touch the edge of the center contact (not the center). I didn't find the mounting hardware to be a good fit, but I'm not deducting a star because it fits the job but is a little clunky. Question: Will I buy it again? Answer: Absolutely! The whole experience is worth the investment. I hope they will work for a while. Will report if they fail. Delivery time and buying experience were top notch. Many Thanks. Edit: Okay, I bought these in August 2019 and we love them so much I just bought a second pair for our living room computer stations. I agree the dimming feature is a learning curve, but it works. In any case, this is a first class reliable lamp for the reading or computer work station. Now we have them on both sides of the bed.
