High quality, affordable corded scanner that plugs directly into your computer's USB port. We use it as a remote station to scan books/comics when we're not at our POS. This increases our efficiency, as the consignor does not take up valuable space in the POS terminal and does not have to stop to call the buyer. They can stay where they are and add more books to inventory without stopping. A limitation. The scanner will NOT be programmed when it arrives, it will have the default software installed. If you need it to read special barcodes (comics and prose books have a secondary barcode called a 5-digit supplement to their UPS barcodes), you will need to call Honeywell Customer Service unless you are more knowledgeable than I. Even though Honeywell is a large multinational company, their customer service team is top notch! They were very nice and patient and emailed after a few days to make sure everything was working as it should. If you need a barcode scanner, this is for you!
