Stock up on batteries and keep them with you! I use a wheel all day every day to do property surveys for insurance companies. This wheel (unlike every other digital one I've owned) does not have auto shut-off. This means if I don't remember to shut it off after every case, it's on most of the day. Heaven forbid I forget to shut it off at the end of the day and it's on in my car all night. I also have other tools that sometimes bump the on/off button. I replace batteries in it once or twice a week. Very disappointing working in Minnesota in the winter and having to stand there in the cold and replace batteries when your wheel won't turn on. If you use a wheel a lot, find one with auto shut-off.
