Calibration takes a few seconds, but that's typical for electronic nail finders. The only time it had problems was on walls where my other nail finders would have problems such as. B. Walls with eddy currents from nearby power lines. If you come across a really weird case where this thorn finder doesn't work, most likely no thorn finder works with the same technology and you can try1. Magnet for detecting nails in a stud (not always accurate center detection or lack of nails)2. Sides of electrical switches/sockets (there will be a stud)3. 16-24 inches from corner 4. Impact Test 5. Drive thin nails into the wall next to the panel until you find the stud. Then measure 16 or 24 inches a few times to find the remaining studs.
