These inserts are very strong. Inserting into both hard and soft wood with a 3/8" ratchet and hex head provides a truly secure grip. With a hex drive there are no breakaway problems. Now I can save some money by buying stock reels and I don't have to. Be concerned about where the flange wheel will be mounted. great product Would have been nice if the internal threads were closer to the surface, but that's understandable given the hex drive area. Good product.
