Order two of these to check the water pressure before and after my softener/filter. I checked the gauges and they were within 1-2 psi of a known accurate gauge. Reviewers complained of leakage through the plug. I haven't had this problem. Overtightening the plastic connector is a common mistake most dyers make. as with EVERY connection to the water supply. over tightening will NOT stop the leak. In fact, it will make things worse and even cut the connection. Connectors such as the one supplied should be hand tightened and then tightened an additional 1/4 turn with a small wrench. What I did with this connector was just put a small o-ring in the connector (it should have been included but unfortunately wasn't). I then used RectorThread #5 pipe thread sealant instead of Teflon tape. PTFE tape is not technically designed to SEAL pipe threads. It is designed to lubricate the NPT threads during assembly. some sealing occurs as an after-effect, but that is not their primary function. This sealed the connector properly and I have NO leaks. Other users have complained that the sensor is not fully filled with glycerin. it is intended. All these types of pressure gauges have a small air pocket. Some of the best high pressure fuel gauges I use on my race car have this bladder. If it is now completely empty or only half full, then it is defective and must be sent back. Either way, these sensors look great and work great.
