The lights go out

Only used a few times since purchase more than a year ago. My V-1 radar worked fine with it. But now the light comes on and then goes off again. The detector beeps will continue to function but will not illuminate. I switched to a different power cord in the same machine and it works fine. I have changed the cables several times with the same result. This product now leaves my detector with no lamps that will still work with the old cord.
