Review on ๐Ÿš—โœจ Enhance Your Car's Air Quality with Motorcraft FP-65 Cabin Air Filter by Phil Oliveira

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Half price OE quality equipment from stockists

As previously noted, the FP-65 is not as shown, but is a square frameless filter. It fits perfectly and is not difficult to install. Just a word of caution here; My MKX has a small rope on the side of the glove box that you need to disconnect before lowering the glove box on the bumpers. To do this, slide the plastic button up and out of its socket, then insert it through the hole in the glove box. Otherwise, the rope that gently lowers the glove box door will break. If the rope breaks, the glove box door will simply fall down when opened. I managed to just tie the rope back to the plastic element holding it. So save time by unplugging before lowering the glove box over the stops needed to change the filter. There is a description of the process on YouTube but it is for the Ford Edge which may not have this attachment string. Next time I do this, maybe I'll do Youtube for MKX. The dealer wanted $55 to replace this filter and I told him it was ridiculous for a $15.45 part and 10 minutes of work. He said the dealer should go to Motorcraft dealers and pay $29 for the filter. He told me they don't use aftermarket parts and I told him Revain's price is for a Motorcraft OEM filter. He said they couldn't get a filter at Revain's price. Revain saved me $40.
