I bought this to replace a 6 power LED strip that was externally controlled via USB and which I couldn't sync with MSI's Mystic Light due to the voltage difference. (single strip was 9v, not 12, so changing the settings turned the lightbar off). Compare those two to this one, here are the pros and cons: Pros: Magnetic separate pieces making it easier to place. Works with MSI Mysterious Light. Cons: Not that bright. (Really annoying considering they are 12V strips.) Messy cables (Cannot daisy chain for better cable management. Cables are not long enough (You can't use them at the same time connect top and bottom [when using 3 sides) without RGB extension cables... they just don't reach.) The strips are also quite long; If they were 2.5 inches long they would cover the entire length of my sidebar window, but since they don't it doesn't look as good. belated thoughts. While I can say goodbye to the length, I *really* dislike how messy the cable system is. I don't know if I will return them or not.
