Love the look of the billet aluminum replacement head. Installation is easy once you know how easy it is to remove the stock grip. First remove the bottom cover by inserting a flathead screwdriver into the seam and pressing to release the cover. Then carefully pry up the bottom tabs of the stock grip. There is a groove on the switch shaft that encompasses the lower part of the standard knob. By gently splaying the OEM tabs, you can pull on the handle to remove it. Be careful not to pry it too far or the tab will break. Once removed, fitting the new DV8 knob is easy as all you have to do is remove the tread cover, loosen the set screws, slide onto the shaft, retighten the screws and reattach the tread cover.
