As a longtime user of the main competitor's version, I can compare the two dryers. I really like my original dryer and have been using it every day for a number of years. But I always found it very loud and heavy. After ejection, my shoulders often get tired and my ears ring from a loud engine. But I liked the ease with which it gave a nice smooth release. This new dryer delivers results in a smaller, lighter and quieter format. My hair looks sleek and bouncy and my ears aren't ringing from the loud motor on my head! I am now a convert and will be removing my old dryer! The smaller size also makes it more travel-friendly. It comes with a nice case that protects it in my suitcase. All in all I'm a big fan!
