these cases were cool to the touch. the case stayed cool on my face for about 2 minutes and then was the same temp as my cheek so no cooling sensation. i flipped the pillow over and that side was nice and cool, but again, only for about 2 minutes. the case fit my standard size pillow perfectly and was very easy to put on and zip up. the chief problem for me was that the case is rather slippery so my face kept sliding down the pillow and i repeatedly woke thru the night with the tip of my head on the pillow and the rest of my face and neck awkwardly slanted onto the mattress. if you're used to using a satin pillow case then you'll probably find these cases comfortable and if you're willing to keep flipping your pillow you'll experience a few minutes of coolness. if you're used to cotton pillow cases then i doubt you'll enjoy this case. especially since it really didn't provide constant coolness.
