I love these lights! Portable, with warm white light, powered by 3 AAA batteries. They have 2 mounting options. Option one - double sided tape (from 3M) that can be stuck to the back of the lantern and then taped to a flat surface. The tape is pretty strong so the backing will stay where you pasted it. Another option is to screw it to the wall with the screws provided. The back (where you can attach the foam tape) has holes to screw the screws into. And yes, the flashlight slides off the installed base, allowing you to change batteries or adjust the lighting setting (low or high). ). I'm actually quite surprised by the range of the sensor. It seems to pick up movement easily and lights up immediately. It stays on when motion is detected and turns off 20 seconds after motion stops. I have this for the bedroom and it's nice when you turn off the bedroom light it comes on and stays on until I get to my bed and get under the covers. The design of this lamp is rectangular (with rounded edges) and has a flat base, so you can place it anywhere without assembling it. The service life of the device depends on the batteries inserted. I personally use high mAh AAA batteries. When these batteries run out, they can be easily replaced/recharged. This is a great alternative to rechargeable flashlights as some of them use lithium ion batteries which are difficult to find in these devices and to replace when they run out of charge. AAA batteries have been around for a long time and I don't think they're going away any time soon. I'm not sure if this will affect the batteries either, but you could try putting a magnetic strip on the back if you want to attach this to your fridge, somewhere in the garage, or under a cupboard. All in all, if you are looking for this type of light, this one comes highly recommended!
