I keep reading the reviews and shaking my head. So if you have a complaint about this box, read this first. The bread does NOT come out of the bag! You put the whole bread in the bin along with the bag. The holes at the bottom help remove air as it goes down. Then, with the bread resting against the top opening, fold the bag over the edge and close the lid just above the bag by sliding the bag down the sides. If you use more bread, slide the bag down so the remaining load is closer to the top. It did an excellent job of keeping the bread fresh and in my case it kept my cat from spoiling the loaves of bread.
