Before purchasing these speakers I was always a regular Polk user. That was until support gave me an apology when the $600 sound system started having problems. I've been looking for a replacement for a long time, buying Hi-Fi and demoing Sony, Martin Logan, Definitive Technology and JBL. Finally, Klipsch was the only brand whose sound caught my attention. I couldn't understand it, but there was something in them, so clear and detailed. I rushed home and ordered them after they went on sale and oh my god. They're the best I've ever heard. On some songs I could swear I can hear the strings reverberate and the singers breathe between the words. I use them hooked up to a $100 Sony receiver, so I have no doubt they could sound even better with better hardware. This can be important for those who are sensitive to higher frequencies. I'm 27 and I love the extended high range and I love the Beyer Dynamic headphones for the same reason. With that in mind, I'd say these speakers sound even better than my DT 880 headphones, which I've been using almost daily for the last 5 years.
