Motherboard has connectors but no port. I needed a long cable to get from the phone to the back of the case and that did it. The one I had from an ancient PC case wasn't long enough. I didn't look closely enough at the picture, but this one has a "half-slot" plate. My PC case is full of slots. I removed the plate from the supplied plate and mounted it on the standard plate. Double check what size panel you need and how much cable you need from the connector to the back of the case. Consider any additional cards that may be present. I had to bypass my graphics card and needed the extra length. I linked this to some other items and was able to get free shipping. Highly recommended for those who still need a serial port!
