This is the second wallet I bought this year. In January I bought my first wallet, the wallet was very well made, my only complaint was the clasp was broken, I fixed it by screwing it back in and a month later I lost the clasp because it came loose. I really liked this wallet so bought another one to make sure I checked the clasp before using it. This new one has a very good clasp, but the rest of the wallet is completely different. It appears to be from a new manufacturer, the gold behind the leaf design is indented rather than smooth like my other one. The material of the wallet is no longer leathery, the drawstring is shorter with rivet, but I like it more, I just wish it was longer. There have been stains on this wallet before, mostly I just wiped them off and didn't pay attention to them. But the upper isn't the soft leather it used to be, and dirt doesn't just rub off. The new wallet definitely has improvements in the cord construction and clasp fastening, but I don't like the feel of the new outer material and I don't like losing the crease in the wallet portion. I also liked the original valve design better as well as the original smooth gold. I have attached photos of both purses. I should also mention that my main reason for buying this wallet was to carry around my Samsung s9, which works. I just want the original coin pocket to be a bit larger so I can easily open it with my phone in it after trying a new wallet, my phone fits perfectly, I like the wider coin pocket.
