This is a high-quality shower-head hose. It is solidly constructed. It installs easily. The instructions say not to use plumber's tape nor tools and that was apparently good advice. It installed readily with simple hand tightening. The water seal is effected by the tight fit of washres against brass bushings, not by the threaded parts of the attachment, so plumbing tape would be redundant.It came with 4 washers -- two black and two blue. I THINK the 2nd black washer is an extra as it was not needed. One end of the hose (the end for the shower head) took one black and one blue washer. The other end seemed to have room for on washer only. I used the blue.
