Review on 🔧 High-Performance Airtex AW6244 Engine Water Pump by Ryan Calabro

I bought this pump in mid-March 2018 for a 2007 Mini Cooper. When it arrived it proved to be a sturdy device. Due to the bad weather, we were only able to install it at the end of April 2018. This is a complex installation that will take several hours. Unity problems started about 3 weeks after installation. At first there were a few drops of antifreeze under the car. By mid-May 2018, this had developed into a full-fledged leak. We eventually ran out of fuel and took the Mini apart for the second time on Memorial Day 2018. As soon as we saw the open pump, we started the engine to see where the leak was coming from. To our surprise, the leak came from a small rectangular plastic insert at the base of the pump. Unfortunately it took so long (from the date of original purchase) to install the unit, but it was only leak free for a few weeks before the leak started. The Mini Cooper is difficult to fix in almost everything, but having to fix it twice because a spare part failed is a real bummer. Buyer Warning!
