When recording information, an unpleasant buzzing and crackling sound is heard, despite the fact that the case is on the floor. The sound is quite loud and if you need silence, then this disc is definitely not for you. I read that the drive is noisy, but I thought it's okay, but the sound is really intrusive. If I heard it, I would think if it is worth taking it.
