This is an R-134a recovery tank with ACME 1/2" fittings. This is true. Low side adapter or the end of the adapter is 14mm M. Robinair manufactures adapter #16301 which is a 1/2 inch AMCE female connector with R-134a connector on the bottom for spigots (I bought mine at O'Reilly for less than $10) Use the yellow charging line to connect the manifold to the vacuum pump, then use the blue hose on the bottom with the adapter to connect it to the 16301 fitting that you installed on the tank, turn on the vacuum pump, open the blue manifold valve, plus the tank valve where you will connect the manifold to the tank (this is after you have blown the nitrogen that sent into the tank which can be easily vented to atmosphere) Release the vacuum (let my y rise to 29 inches), close the valve on the low pressure side (blue) on your manifold, turn off the pump and release stand for about 15 minutes in. If the vacuum persists, close the reservoir valve and you're done. If some of the vacuum is lost, turn on the pump, open the blue valve on the manifold, and prime again. Edited to mention that the tank I received did not have a plugged port for the 80% tank shutoff valve. It might matter to some people and it's presented that way, but I weigh and write down what goes into my tank, so it doesn't really matter to me.
