The product is good, no complaints so far

All negative reviews are from people who have not read the description. This is an empty tank used to rebuild R134a. It holds 30 pounds of refrigerant. The resin weight of this cylinder is 15.8 lbs.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons

NOT COMPLETE R134a: Air Conditioning Tools and Equipment

Of course I looked up R134a, 30 pounds and it matched. I clicked and bought. Oops. I think the description is accurate but misleading. The description should say "EMPTY" or something else to let you know it's not a 30lb can of R134a.

Pros
  • Best in Niche
Cons
  • Some Problems

As advertised, R-134A TANK.

This unit is a storage tank for R-134a refrigerant. It's the same as buying a propane bottle, it will be empty. This is intended for those who recover and recover refrigerants. The price was the cheapest I could find and it came new as advertised. It looks the same as in the picture. Valve on the low and high pressure side. The tank must be cleaned before use!

UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER

I BOUGHT A 30# CYLINDER WITH R134 FREON AND YOU SENT ME A 15# TANK. THEY SOLVED THIS PROBLEM BY TOPPING ME 15# AND RESETTING THE BALANCE ON MY CARD. WHEN I TRY TO USE THIS 15# CYLINDER I CANNOT DISCHARGE THE FREON FROM THE VESSEL. I BUY MANY PRODUCTS ON AMAZON FOR EMPLOYEES AND TO HEAT THE CENTER OF OUR COMPANY. ANY HELP WILL BE RECOGNIZED. I WILL RETURN THE UNUSED CYLINDERS.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Construction
Cons
  • Weak

This is a 30 lb bottle of refrigerant

Most of the bad reviews are because people don't understand what they are buying. It doesn't have refrigerant, it's not designed for it, it doesn't weigh 30 pounds, it doesn't exactly hold 30 pounds. It holds about 26 pounds because you don't want to fill the tank 100%, it's not safe. This is a good tank, filled with nitrogen at about 15psi with instructions on how to evacuate and fill with desired refrigerant, has two 1/2" connections which I converted to 1/4" and I use it for that Refrigerant

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Exactly what I needed/wanted

This is an R-134a recovery tank with ACME 1/2" fittings. This is true. Low side adapter or the end of the adapter is 14mm M. Robinair manufactures adapter #16301 which is a 1/2 inch AMCE female connector with R-134a connector on the bottom for spigots (I bought mine at O'Reilly for less than $10) Use the yellow charging line to connect the manifold to the vacuum pump, then use the blue hose on the bottom with the adapter to connect it to the 16301 fitting that you installed on the tank, turn on

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Some flaws
