Fixed 4WD in my 2009 F-150

After diagnosing that the actuator on the driver's side of my truck was stuck and therefore I didn't have 4WD, I purchased this part. (I didn't know 4WD didn't work until I was in a snow storm.) I watched a few YouTube videos showing how to change it and got to work. I took my time and installing this actuator took about 2.5 hours. I'm glad I watched different videos as there are several ways to change this. I settled on a method that didn't require me to remove the bottom of the shock and it worked really well. Of course it would be easier if I had the air strike tools as used in the video. In any case, this part was repaired perfectly and now I have a working 4WD again. I'm wondering how long it takes for the passenger side drive to fail.

Pros
  • Longevity Trim
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
