I bought 4 of these lights and they work pretty well but I was hoping for longer battery life. It only provides about 4 hours of usable light. Basically, after 4 hours, the light becomes too weak to be used. If you decide to disassemble the flashlight, you'll find that it comes with a 200mAh Ni-MH battery, the type of battery used in older home cordless phones. I searched Revain and found the EBL BT-446 1000mah battery is a great upgrade but needs some soldering. This is the white battery in the attached photos. After changing the battery, I got about 9 hours of usable light from the battery. Yes, I know the mAh math doesn't quite add up, but I'm just reporting actual results. I also tried using the Kastar 1000mAh battery but it only lasted about 6 hours. EBL BT-446 works better, so stick with it. Bonus mod: I found that the night light turns on when there is still a lot of light in the room. To fix this I used a drill to increase the size of the sensor hole. Now it works much better. I hope someone finds this information useful, but don't blame me if you try this mod and damage something or someone in any way.
