Review on ๐ŸŽฅ Rode VideoMic GO: Lightweight On-Camera Microphone with Rycote Shockmount - Professional Sound for Filmmakers by Jared Coleman

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Avoid Video Microphone Go! With this purchase you play the lottery!

From day one this mic was a nuisance. Every video I make with this mic comes with an intermittent click. The clicking sounds roughly as if your cell phone is too close to the speakers. I've been trying to solve this problem for months! He ruined several videos! I tried almost every setting until I came across these suggestions from others who had this problem. I've tried the most popular suggestions with no success.1. Some say it's too close to wifi and/or my phone, removed it from those sources, same problem.2. Others say the cable that comes with the mic sucks for some buyers and not for others. I replaced it with a third party cable and the problem was still there, but only occasionally.3. Finally I thought maybe it was the camera. I just tried this on a new Sony A7III (I used a Panasonic G85) and I'm having the same problem! It's so frustrating because the last video I made was one of the most important audio clips I've ever recorded and I'm devastated. that the audio problem still exists. Do not trust anything important to this microphone! I'm a firm believer that some people get a great mic and others get a bad batch! I'm done fixing this issue, it's time to switch to a more reliable brand, I can't risk another terrible audio video. I believe the audio is the most important part of any video. If I could give this rating 0 stars, I would.
