I was stuck in my 1998 CR-V the whole time. I've checked and rechecked timing, fuel pressure, spark plugs, distributors, everything. The check engine light is out, I'm going insane. I finally settled on a "professional" scanner, better than my $20 at Walmart. I hooked this up, did a test drive with data logging, and guess what I found - a bad intake O2 sensor. It kept telling my computer that it was rich (the voltage was between 0.6 and 1.2 throughout the ride) and the down gauge dropped to almost 0 as the computer cut off the fuel. My short term fuel trim is -30%. All of this and NEVER threw me a damn code to figure it out. I spent hours and hours trying to find a mechanical problem when this electronic tool fixed it in about 15 minutes. Don't worry, your time is worth a lot more than it's worth, buy it. And I'm your regular tree shadow mechanic working on his own machines, not a fake reviewer as you can see from my story. This product was so good that I left a glowing review.
