Review on Wsdcam Wireless Door Alarm With Remote 2 Pack, Battery Included, 105 DB Loud Pool Door Alarm, Wireless Door Open Alarms Sensor For Kids Safety Home Security by Dustin Barry

Easy to Install and Loud as Heck

The installation could not be simpler. Just drop in the batteries (included), affix the sensor, and then affix the alarm itself aligning it to the arrow of the sensor (and itself). As others have noted, each remote is preset to control both alarms simultaneously. If you want independent operation, you need to reprogram the remotes. The alarm is loud as heck. The 'ding-dong' chime is just as loud. I have seen someone in one of the reviews complaining about the loudness, and in a small house or apartment, this volume may become an issue for some. But for most people, including yours truly, I would guess that too loud is much better than too quiet for an alarm. One little foible about these alarms: The lid that holds the battery compartment can come lose from the repeated impact of the door closing, and when this happens the unit can lose power because the one of more of the batteries gets dislodged. We recommend that you tape down the lids, which you break when the batteries need to be replaced. And when you turn on the alarm, be sure that the red light is blinking. If it is not, check the battery lid first to make that the batteries are fully seated in the compartment.

Pros
  • They are easy to put up and they are loud
Cons
  • May malfunction in extreme weather conditions
