Review on Super Compact Trunk Bike Rack by Leslie Matlak

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I recommend but I know the shortcomings

This bike rack has its pros and cons. It's very easy to set up and get started. It adds up to almost zero. It's very easy for my little daughter to use it alone without dad's help. It's not the most durable stand, however. You are definitely not buying a Thule. Bike racks are not clamps, you must thread and loosen the loops to secure and then remove the bike. I'd say it's great for short, normal-speed trips around town. Here's hoping the bike makes it safely from New York to Maine at freeway speeds. It would also be helpful to see the diagram on the back of the box before we bought it (I've attached a photo of it here). My daughter's car is not on the list and we had to do a bit of fiddling to attach it to the metal of her car instead of the MINI Countryman's plastic spoiler. Not the frame's fault, any frame of this nature would have been attached to the plastic, which we had to look at and realize it was bad. I would recommend this stand despite its shortcomings, especially at this price point.

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • I won't say anything
