I used them to hang blackout curtains in my bedroom. We used a long curtain rod with two curtains to block two windows. We used this method: 1. Thoroughly wipe the stain with alcohol. Leave to dry.2. Hold the hook on the back and wipe the back with alcohol. Let dry.3. Attach the strip to the back plate4. Press the hook against the wall as firmly as possible within 60 seconds.5. Do not touch, see or breathe near the hook for a full 48 hours. This allows the command bar to stick to the wall completely.6. Carefully place the curtain rod and curtains on the hooks. I wouldn't recommend them if you NEED to pull curtains back and forth. These hooks have a very small gap between the pole and the wall. But they work. Just carefully gather the curtains in the middle and tie them.
