Review on πŸ”§ Milwaukee 12V Cut-Off Tool (2522-20) - Bare Tool by Paul Wall

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The most versatile power tool I've ever seen. 6.0Ah batteries are a must for this tool

I work as a mechanic and do a bit of everything. HVAC, electrical and some plumbing will be repaired. I bought this tool on a whim as I have never tried or seen one other than on the internet. I ordered this with the intention of using it to cut PVC leather and was blown away by the functionality of the tool. It is suitable not only for PVC, but also for drywall. Recently I did a job with a radiant heating pipe exposed to the ceiling. I had to run the wire through this tool and just cut the paper, which allowed me to cut through the paper with a razor, giving me more control over the drywall cut above my head. Dust removal is a must when cutting drywall with this tool. I used a Makita drywall saw and it's a lot easier to make clean lines with it, but slower and more difficult to get the right depth so as not to cut through anything behind the wall. Dust is not that big of a problem with the Makita tool. It's also my favorite metal cutting tool. You name it, sheet metal, uni-strut, fully threaded, junction boxes, bolts, round channels, square channels, even copper, it's a tool for the job. Also this thing works wonders with a diamond blade for small rock leveling jobs to install electrical air conditioner circuit breakers on masonry. Also great for cutting tiles for sockets or switches. The smaller batteries don't seem to give the tool the same performance as the larger XC batteries, although I don't notice a difference on some of my other m12 tools. Now I hardly ever touch my 4" grinder. If you think about it, maybe you shouldn't buy this one because everyone wants to borrow it! 5/5 recommend
