Eco-friendly but with compromises

When I first received these paper towels I was totally convinced of their eco-friendliness because who wouldn't miss the chance of something good for the environment and I expected them to at least correspond to the branded paper towels (Costco) we have used so far. As you can see, these paper towels are 100% waste paper, of which 80% waste paper, i.e. used and recycled paper, and 20% waste paper, i.e. other industries (e.g. newspapers, etc.). However, upon receipt and a week of use, our experience with them has been mediocre, mainly because: - They wrap very loosely around the center tube, taking up more space. space and actually appear larger than they actually are.- Loosely wrapped towels also make them harder to unroll than they should be as you try to prevent them from unraveling. such as dinner paper napkins - they tear very easily. Even if you try to separate them from the rolls, they don't absorb moisture as well as regular paper towels. So you have to use more sheets to clean up the same area/liquid/mess than we would use our Costco towels. no so good for liquids as they absorb very little liquid and start tearing. FINAL THOUGHTS Finally, they're budget-friendly when it comes to an eco-friendly product, but you end up sacrificing a ton of features and performance in the name of sustainability, and you might end up using more towels to clean up the same mess. That's why I give three stars.
