I've been looking for something that will keep my rugs from slipping on the rug for a long time. We had to get lounge rugs because our carpet was worn (cheaper than carpet replacement). I tried three different types of anti slip mats and none of them worked. I found this on Revain and read the reviews carefully. Since it has so many good reviews, I decided to give it a try before I invest any more money in expensive anti-slip mats. So glad I did. IT WORKS! Finally! We apply several strips to the back of each rug - three across and four to six along the length of the rug. We have three mats - 10' x 2' and 8' x 2' (2). Make sure you measure and mark where you want the rugs to be placed on the rug before placing them. We used masking tape. Even so, the carpet pile had to shift the carpet as we installed it because it wasn't straight and didn't fit the contour we created. It wasn't that noticeable, so we figured we could live with that. Of course it's better than smoothing the carpet every 5 minutes! We glued the tape in parts, then carefully laid that part of the carpet, then added more tape, and then laid the next piece of carpet. We did this until the carpet was completely installed. Our carpets were long and heavy and it took two people to move the carpet piece by piece. We put the tape on before Christmas and the rugs have held in place for the past 3 weeks! You're not going anywhere. Thank you for this product!
