I have severe hip arthritis and had a couple of nasty accidents in January 2020 falling off a plastic toilet seat jack because it didn't fit the extended toilet properly in the new house my daughter. So I have this one to replace and the stand/handles I'm holding on to. I like that it doesn't need to be installed since it's a standalone device. It supports my considerable weight (245 pounds) very well and is safe to use. I can easily stand up and sit down with the handles. But since my body shape is "heavy", it causes problems when I sit. There is no room for manoeuvre. However, I would rather find a solution to this problem than be unsure.
